Indigenous Professional Support Units
Indigenous Professional Support Units (IPSUs), are funded by the Australian Government through the Inclusion and Professional Support Program (IPSP). IPSUs provide professional development and support to eligible Indigenous education and care services in collaboration with the Professional Support Coordinators and Inclusion Support Agencies to respond to current and emerging needs.
IPSUs support Australian Government funded Indigenous-run education and care services to provide quality care that is culturally safe and appropriate, and meets the needs of Indigenous children and families. The IPSUs work in consultation and collaboration with Indigenous education and care services and other support and training providers to support the needs of Indigenous educators and child care services.
